Radiant Girl Project CIC.jpg

Founded by Claudia Massera after more than  15 years of

DanceBodyMind’s work

supporting  thousands of women worldwide,

Radiant Girl Project exists to make healing through movement accessible to all.

Our programmes are delivered through a combination of public funding, partnerships,

and 5% of earnings reinvested  from DanceBodyMind,

ensuring sustainability, integrity,

and community impact.

Why Our Work Matters

Across the UK, women and girls face rising rates of
anxiety, burnout, and disconnection
from their bodies.

1 in 5 young women in London experiences
depression or anxiety before the age of 25.

60% of women say they feel negative about their body
most of the time.

80% agree that
body image
has a negative impact
on their mental health.

Women are under far greater pressure to
compare, consume imagery,
and seek validation
for appearance.

In a society built on consumption, comparison, and validation,
too many women lose connection
with their bodies, voices,
and creative truth.

 OUR MANIFESTO

We believe the world doesn’t need more consumers
it needs more creators.

Every woman holds a light
inside her
a voice, a rhythm, a truth
waiting to be remembered.

Through movement, music and storytelling,
we turn healing into art
and
pain into strength

Because when a woman
remembers who she is,
she becomes unstoppable
and she knows
she is already enough,
just as she is.

In March 2026,

Radiant Girl Project CIC,

was awarded funding through the Barnet BACE (HAF) programme to deliver a creative wellbeing holiday camp for young girls.

This marks an important step in expanding our work from supporting women

into early intervention with young girls,

creating safe spaces for confidence, creativity, and emotional wellbeing from a young age.

As part of this programme, we will deliver a 4-day Girls Creative Movement Holiday Camp

in North Finchley, offering:

Movement and dance sessions

Creative expression and storytelling

Confidence-building activities

A safe and supportive girls’ space

Nutritious meals provided

This programme is fully funded and available to girls eligible for benefits-related

Free School Meals (FSM)

This opportunity reflects a growing recognition of the importance of creative, body-based approaches to wellbeing for young girls, and we are honoured to be supported by Barnet Council and the Young Barnet Foundation in bringing this work to the community.

Barnet | January 2026

In January 2026, Radiant Girl Project awarded a free creative movement bursary to Zari, a woman originally from Iran, living in Barnet, made possible through the

5% reinvestment of Dance Body Mind earnings

alongside ongoing community support.

Zari regularly attends our creative movement classes in North London

at In8 Space, where she shared that returning to dance has helped her

reconnect with joy, energy, and a part of herself she thought she had lost.

“Dancing brings life and energy back into me. It helps reduce my anxiety and makes me feel alive again.”

This bursary reflects our commitment to accessible creative wellbeing and to reinvesting community success back into community care.

Empowering Women
Beyond Borders through Creative Bursaries

After-school movement programmes supporting girls aged 8–14 to build confidence, emotional expression, and positive body awareness.

Rather than teaching girls to copy choreography

or perform for approval, we invite them

to listen to their bodies and move intuitively, responding to music they love and rhythms that feel natural to them.

Through guided improvisation, playful exploration, and supportive facilitation, participants learn to trust their instincts, express emotions safely, and reconnect with their authentic selves. This approach helps girls build a positive relationship with their bodies, strengthen emotional resilience, and develop confidence from within  at a crucial stage of their development.

Early Intervention Through Creative Movement

In December 2025, the Radiant Girl Project CIC awarded its first fully funded UK bursary, made possible through the 5% of earnings reinvested from DanceBodyMind, our private company.

This bursary was created to support women who are already serving their communities and who feel called to use dance, embodiment, and art as tools for healing, connection, and empowerment.

We are honoured to introduce Agnes,

our first UK bursary recipient.

Agnes has lived in Barnet for over 20 years and is originally from Hungary.

She is a community organiser and the founder of the Mill Hill Community Choir, where she has been supporting people through singing, creativity, and collective healing for many years.

Since October 2025 we have been running weekly movement and dance sessions for adults and young people with disabilities in Barnet.

These classes are pure magic. Every Wednesday we witness how music and movement bypass fear, bypass words, and go straight to the heart.

Our participants connect instantly to joy, expression, and confidence  reminding us that movement is the most natural form of healing.

This work is funded partly through community partnerships and delivered by our Radiant Girl facilitators.

One class at a time, we are proving that movement belongs to everyone.

Joy in Motion: Transforming Lives Through Dance & Inclusion

In November 2025 we granted our first-ever Radiant Girl Project bursary to Batool, a young woman from Jordan who has been dreaming of becoming a belly dance teacher but could never afford formal training.

Batool spent years practicing secretly through YouTube videos. She messaged us for months sharing her journey, her passion, and her dream of empowering women in her community where self-expression is still taboo.

Thanks to our CIC, we awarded her a full scholarship to the DBM® Teacher Training, making her the first global recipient of our “Light Leader” bursary.

Her message to us: “You changed my life. I will bring this light to the women in my country.”

This is why we exist  to make empowerment accessible to every woman, everywhere.

We work with local businesses, therapists, and teachers to support women who need safe spaces — especially those who cannot access traditional wellness services.

This is where empowerment becomes community.

Symphony of Light is Radiant Girl Project’s flagship production
and is a transformative performance experience exploring women’s journeys back to self-love.

It traces the path from shame to embodiment, from silence to self-expression,
honouring the many ways women
reclaim their voice and choice.

In a world that asks women to shrink, Symphony of Light dares them to expand
through movement, music, and storytelling.

Developed through workshops, circles, and embodied creative processes, Symphony of Light transforms women’s lived experiences into collective artistic expression. Participants reconnect with their bodies and voices through movement, creativity, and shared presence.

Some participants may choose to carry their experience forward into performance
while others continue their journey entirely within workshops and community spaces.

This production bridges the worlds of wellbeing and the arts, turning personal healing into public inspiration. It is a living expression of resilience, self-love, and connection  where women’s stories are honoured in ways that feel safe, empowering, and authentic.

Symphony of Light represents a self-sustaining cycle of transformation:
women heal through movement, express themselves creatively, and inspire others
on stage, in community, and in everyday life.

WHO WE ARE

Radiant Girl Project CIC
A Community Interest Company Empowering Women and Girls Through Movement, Healing, and Freedom of  Expression

Company No. 16351528
Registered in England & Wales

OUR VISION
At Radiant Girl Project CIC, our vision is to create a world where movement, creativity, and healing are accessible to all  and where every woman and girl can reconnect with her body, voice, and light.

We believe that dance, art, and music are more than art forms,
they are languages of the soul, capable of transforming pain into power, and silence into expression.

Radiant Girl Project CIC is a self-sustaining circle of transformation where healing, creativity, and performance continually inspire one another.
Through dance, movement, storytelling, and community connection, we bridge the worlds of art and wellbeing, offering women not only a space to heal but a stage to shine.

Our programmes are not one-off experiences, they are part of an evolving ecosystem where each woman’s transformation contributes to the next.
Participants heal through movement, create together, and are often invited to perform in our flagship production, Symphony of Light, turning their stories into living art.

In this way, Radiant Girl Project becomes a living circle of remembrance and empowerment, where healing becomes art, and art becomes healing again.

OUR MISSION
Radiant Girl Project brings together dance, movement, and music in a holistic way:  from unforgettable performances like Symphony of Lights to community workshops, retreats, and creative collaborations that connect, heal, and empower.
Our programmes are interactive journeys: participants who take part in our workshops are often invited to share their stories and creations on stage, turning lived experience into collective art. Through this bridge between arts and healing, we transform personal growth into public inspiration.

We are committed to making our work accessible to all, offering both free and low-cost creative health initiatives alongside high-impact performances and educational programmes in schools, community spaces, and cultural venues.
Through movement, art, and creative play, we help women and girls reclaim confidence, reconnect with their roots, and rediscover their inner light.

OUR COMMITMENT TO THE  COMMUNITY
With the opening of our new creative home in Barnet, North London, we’re expanding our mission to offer inclusive classes, workshops, and healing spaces for women and girls within the local community.
Radiant Girl Project is dedicated to reaching those who need it most: women facing isolation, young people struggling with mental health, and communities with limited access to the arts.

By offering inclusive and compassionate programs, we aim to:

- Strengthen emotional and mental wellbeing through movement and creativity
- Promote social connection and cultural belonging
- Celebrate the diverse heritage of women’s stories, music, and dance in London and beyond

Through collaborative partnerships with local councils, schools, health organizations, and creative collectives, we envision a world where healing through art is not a luxury but a right.
